LONDON, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- The girlfriend of Britain's Prince Harry says she has ended their relationship because of his flirting despite Harry's boasts he dumped her.

Harry had claimed he broke it off with lingerie model Florence Brudenell-Bruce, 25, nicknamed Flee, because he wanted to play the field but Flee said she was the one who dumped Harry because she was sick of the way he acted when women were around, Britain's Sunday Mirror reported.

"She felt he had a wandering eye all the time and she wasn't really into not knowing who he was flirting with or talking to when they were apart," a source close to Florence said.

"So she ended it. She didn't want to carry on in a relationship that wasn't going to go anywhere. Call it a summer fling. They both enjoyed themselves but Flee wasn't interested in taking things further," the source said.

Harry and Flee are distant cousins and run in the same social circles, the Mirror said.

"He will see Flee a lot on the party circuit with his friends so it's better there isn't any bad blood," the source added.
