BIRMINGHAM, England, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Fashion observers in Britain noted Saturday that Catherine Middleton was again seen wearing Alexander McQueen at a public appearance.

McQueen, who died in February, designed the duchess of Cambridge's gown for this summer's gala royal wedding, and his designers' work graced her once again Friday when she toured the riot-scarred neighborhoods of Birmingham.

While the occasion may have been a bit grim, People magazine said Kate was a delight in a navy blue skirt and coordinated silk blouse. People said Saturday the ensemble was available to commoners online for close to $1,500.
