TMZ said the wardrobe malfunction was witnessed by the program's live audience and East Coast viewers who saw the broadcast but was edited out of the West Coast edition that aired later.

"Although we had a 5-second delay in place for the Nicki Minaj concert on 'GMA,' the live East Coast feed of the concert regrettably included certain fleeting images of the performer that were taken out of later feeds of the broadcast in other time zones. We are sorry that this occurred," ABC News said in a statement issued to TMZ.

ANGIE HARMON: TNT says it has ordered a third season of its Boston-set police drama "Rizzoli & Isles," starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander.

The show is in the midst of its second season, which is to continue through September. The second season is to resume in November and wrap up in December.

The third run of fresh episodes is to begin airing in summer 2012.

"This summer, 'Rizzoli & Isles' has proven that last year's record-breaking ratings were just the beginning of this show's remarkable track record," Michael Wright, executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement Friday.

RICKY GERVAIS: British actor and writer Ricky Gervais is to lend his voice to a dolphin character on America's edgy animated comedy series "Family Guy," the BBC said.

The creator and star of the original British version of "The Office" has signed on to play dolphin Billy Flynn for a season.

"'Family Guy' is my favorite show at the moment. I watch two a night and I'm slightly obsessed," the BBC quoted Gervais as saying.

"When ['Family Guy'] creator Seth McFarlane phoned me out of the blue and said he was a huge fan I was delighted," he added. "It was such a joy working with the team and I really like the way my character looks, too."

'DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES:' The upcoming eighth season of "Desperate Housewives" will be the U.S. night-time soap's last, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Plummeting ratings and high production costs and cast salaries are being blamed for the show's demise, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

ABC is expected to discuss the show's future at Sunday's Television Critics Association press tour panel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
