Camilla calls Kate 'lovely'

LONDON, March 24 (UPI) -- Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, says her future daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, is a "lovely girl."

Middleton is to wed Prince William next month in London. William is the son of Camilla's husband, Prince Charles, and his late ex-wife, Princess Diana.

People.com said Camilla had only complimentary things to say about Middleton during a visit to Covent Garden Academy of Flowers in London Wednesday.

"Kate's a lovely girl," the elder royal figure said. "We're very lucky. I'm very much looking forward to [having her join the family.]"
