The latest news on today's hottest celebrities ...

KATHLEEN PARKER: Kathleen Parker announced Friday she is leaving the U.S. nightly program "Parker Spitzer" after five months because she wants to devote more time to writing.

The Pulitzer Prize winner was co-host of the CNN show with former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

"I have decided to return to a schedule that will allow me to focus more on my syndicated newspaper column and other writings," Parker said in a statement Friday.

"With the show going in a new direction, it is a good time to move on," she added. "I want to thank the viewers who have been so kind with their comments and support."

CNN Executive Vice President Ken Jautz said a new program is scheduled to begin airing Monday in the "Parker Spitzer" time slot. It is called "In the Arena" and will feature Spitzer, E.D. Hill and Will Cain, as well as other "newsmakers, guests and contributors," Jautz said.

"We thank Kathleen for her hard work and all that she has done to help us launch our new 8 p.m. program," CNN said Jautz wrote in a note to staff. "We respect her as a colleague and appreciate her perspective and contributions."

JENNA FISCHER: U.S. actress Jenna Fischer says taking a week off from marriage like the characters do in her new film "Hall Pass" would be a horrible idea in real life.

In the big-screen comedy by Bobby and Peter Farrelly, Fischer plays a harried mother of three who agrees to give her husband, played by Owen Wilson, a one-week break from marriage with no consequences.

Asked at a recent Los Angeles news conference if she thinks the notion at the center of "Hall Pass" is a good theory in real life, Fischer replied, "It's a horrible idea!"

"Are you kidding? It's a wonderful premise for a film; it's a horrible practical idea in your life. Don't do it," cautioned the star of TV's "The Office," who married screenwriter Lee Kirk last year.

And, no, Fischer insisted she wouldn't want a "hall pass" herself -- at least not yet.

"I'm a newlywed. I don't want a hall pass right now," she said. "Sorry, it's true."

KELSEY GRAMMER: Thrice-divorced actor Kelsey Grammer has married Kayte Walsh, his girlfriend of less than a year, at the Longacre Theater in New York, his publicist said.

The 55-year-old "Frasier" and "Cheers" star's divorce from Camille, his wife of 13 years, was finalized two weeks ago.

Walsh, 29, is a British former flight attendant.

People.com said a reception at the Plaza Hotel followed the wedding ceremony at the theater where Grammer recently starred in the revival of the musical "La Cage aux Folles."

Among the wedding guests were actors David Hyde Pierce and Alan Arkin, the report said.

"Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh were married today at a private ceremony for family and friends," his representative confirmed in a statement issued to People.com.

MILA KUNIS: Actress Mila Kunis is to be a presenter at the 83rd Academy Awards show in Los Angeles, the telecast's producers said.

This will be her first appearance on an Oscar show.

Kunis appears in the current Best Picture nominee "Black Swan" and will be seen next in "Friends with Benefits." Her other film credits include "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "The Book of Eli" and "Date Night."

She also was a cast member of the TV sitcom "That '70s Show."

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented Sunday at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network.
