CALABASAS, Calif., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Clark Gable's grandson says he is suing the man who allegedly stabbed him in the chest as he was leaving a party in California.
In the suit, Clark Gable III said he was stabbed while leaving a party in Calabasas, Calif., in 2009, TMZ.com reported.
He is seeking in excess of $25,000.
Gable said as a result of the stabbing he suffered "profuse bleeding, a punctured and collapsed lung," and that he couldn't breathe.
Gable was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center after the incident. The suit said he "was placed in intensive care … for seven days and he almost died."
Gable said the day following his discharge from the hospital he woke up with a re-collapsed lung and was returned to the hospital where he underwent extensive surgery resulting in a three-week stay.
The report did not name Gable's alleged attacker.
