NEW YORK, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Spider-Man is teaming up with the surviving members of the Fantastic Four to form The Future Foundation in a new U.S. comic book series, Marvel Comics said.

Jonathan Hickman and Steve Epting created the first issue FF No. 1, due out in March.

The book will see Spider-Man team up with Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman and The Thing to thwart evil. The Human Torch, the fourth member of the original Fantastic Four, recently died on the page.

"FF will alter the very fabric of the Marvel Universe," Tom Brevoort, senior vice president of publishing, said on the Marvel Web site Wednesday. "Jonathan and Steve have crafted a unique, powerful new series that's going to surprise a lot of fans with its combination of mind-blowing ideas and visuals."
