Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
LONDON, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has become a great-grandmother for the first time, her press representatives confirmed Thursday.
People.com said Peter Phillips' wife Autumn gave birth to a girl Wednesday.
The name of the child, who is 12th in line for the British throne, has not yet been announced.
Phillips is the son of Princess Anne, the daughter of the queen and the duke of Edinburgh, and first cousin to Princes William and Harry.
"Mrs. Peter Phillips was yesterday safely delivered of a baby girl at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital," the queen's press secretary said in a statement issued to People.com Thursday. "The weight of the baby was 8 pounds, 8 ounces. Mr. Peter Phillips was present at the birth."
