Swiss singer Vincent Bigler, one of the sources for the British broadcaster's story, said he did not know the exact cause of death.

AGATHE VON TRAPP: Agathe von Trapp, a member of Austria's iconic singing von Trapp family, has died in a Baltimore hospice, her representative said. She was 97.

The von Trapps inspired the classic 1959 stage musical and 1965 movie, "The Sound of Music," which is about how an aspiring nun helps seven children reconnect with their strict father and rediscover the joy of music after the death of their mother in pre-World War II Austria. The film starred Julie Andrews as the nun and Christopher Plummer as the father.

After the war, the real-life family moved to the United States and continued to perform. Younger members of the clan still tour.

JOHN LEGUIZAMO: Writer, actor and comedian John Leguizamo is to return to Broadway next year with his new solo play "Ghetto Klown," the show's producers said.

The stage comedy is to play a 12-week engagement, beginning previews Feb. 21 and opening March 22 at Manhattan's Lyceum Theatre.

Conceived and performed by Emmy and Obie Award winner Leguizamo, the one-man show is being directed by Academy Award winner Fisher Stevens.

Presented by WestBeth Entertainment, Daveed D. Frazier and Nelle Nugent, "Ghetto Klown" is the next chapter in Leguizamo's hugely popular personal and professional story. It follows his previous works "Mambo Mouth," "Spic-O-Rama," "Freak" and "Sexaholix… a Love Story."

"'Ghetto Klown' is all the things I say to my therapist and my manager, but would never want the general public to know. It's cheaper than a lawsuit and I get to take a bow at the end. It's like WikiLeaks but with no international manhunt. Yet," Leguizamo said in a statement Wednesday.

The play was showcased in earlier incarnations in Philadelphia, New Haven, Conn., Santa Fe, N.M., Louisville, Ky., La Jolla and Berkeley, Calif., Toronto and Montreal, the play's Broadway producers said.
