The latest news on today's hottest celebrities ...

CHARLES DEVOE: Fashion model Charles DeVoe has died at New York's Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital of injuries sustained in a Nov. 12 surfing accident, his family said. He was 28.

The Vogue and Anne Klein model was left comatose after the mishap in the Rockaways. He died Friday, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

"Obviously, he was a good (person)," his mother Laura told the newspaper from her Philadelphia home. "This is very hard for us."

No details about the accident or the exact cause of DeVoe's death were included in the Post report.

REBECCA BUDIG: Soap-opera star Rebecca Budig and her professional skating partner Fred Palascak won the U.S. competition series "Skating with the Stars" Tuesday night.

Palascak and the "All My Children" actress beat out pro skater Ethan Burgess and reality TV personality Bethenny Frankel.

"I'm shocked, really I am," E! News quoted Budig as saying. "Bethenny and I were talking about it, really … I'm just shocked. I owe all of this to Fred, who is an unbelievable teacher. I've said it a hundred times … I owe it all to you."

LINDSAY LOHAN: Police in Palm Desert, Calif., are investigating an allegation that actress Lindsay Lohan assaulted a staffer at the Betty Ford Center.

Lohan, 24, has been undergoing court-ordered treatment for drug and alcohol addiction since September at the facility, after repeatedly violating terms of her probation for a 2007 drunk driving arrest.

The Los Angeles Times said the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star is under investigation for misdemeanor battery in connection with an alleged Dec. 12 incident involving an employee at the clinic. Details about what sparked the alleged incident and what exactly Lohan is accused of doing were not reported.

After the Palm Desert officers finish their investigation, they are expected to turn their findings over to Riverside County prosecutors, who will decide whether the actress should face criminal charges, the Times said Tuesday.

BRET MICHAELS: U.S. rocker and reality television personality Bret Michaels has proposed to Kristi Gibson, his on-off girlfriend of 16 years.

The couple have two children together.

"I want you to know that I love you, and you've been unbelievably a big part of my life. I want you to be my wife," "Entertainment Tonight" said Michaels told Gibson Monday night on the season finale of VH1's "Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It."

"I'm speechless," Gibson replied as she accepted his proposal. "I thought this day would never come and he doesn't realize how happy he's just made me."

This year has been eventful for the former Poison front man. Beginning in April, he was treated for a brain hemorrhage, transient ischemic attack, a hole in his heart and an emergency appendectomy -- and then went on to win TV's "The Celebrity Apprentice."
