Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- A jury in Los Angeles Thursday convicted boyfriend Howard Stern and psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich in the Anna Nicole Smith drug trial.
The jury acquitted a second physician, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, on all charges.
Eroshevich was found guilty on four counts of obtaining medication through fraud for prescribing medication for Smith under false names, the Los Angeles Times reported. The jury couldn't reach a verdict on two other counts of illegally obtaining controlled substances for an addict.
Stern, who was the late model's lawyer as well as boyfriend, was convicted of two conspiracy counts of aiding and abetting doctors but acquitted on seven counts of obtaining and providing drugs to an addict.
Stern and Eroshevich are to be sentenced Jan. 6.
The jury had deliberated for more than two weeks following a two-month trial.
Smith died of an accidental drug overdose in February 2007 at a hotel in Florida. The three defendants were not charged with causing her death.
