LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Heather Locklear filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court to change her name from "Heather Deen Sambora" to "Heather Locklear."

Locklear, 49, filed for divorce from rocker Richie Sambora in 2006, but she is seeking an expedited name change now because she needs an up-to-date passport before she travels abroad Oct. 25, TMZ reported Saturday.
