SAN DIEGO, July 24 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Valerie Bertinelli will marry for the second time in a very private ceremony in Italy -- just her, longtime boyfriend Tom Vitale and one witness.

"For me, it feels silly. I'm 50. It's not about the wedding. I just want to have a marriage," Bertinelli told People magazine Thursday at the Jenny Craig National Conference in San Diego. "We're going to get married in Italy, just the two of us and a witness."

Bertinelli, who was married to rocker Eddie Van Halen for 26 years, told People she won't be a contender for the pages of Modern Bride, saying, "I'll be wearing black!"
