LONDON, June 5 (UPI) -- Harassment charges were dropped after actress Keira Knightley declined to make statements in court against her accused stalker, Marek Daniluk.

Daniluk was arrested Feb. 4 and charged with harassment without violence after the British actress accused him of grabbing her arm outside London's Comedy Theatre, The Times of London reported.

Knightley, the 25-year-old star of "Atonement" and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, told police she was "worried and distressed" by Daniluk, who had reportedly showered her with gifts and letters.

Two years ago Knightley claimed she was being stalked by five men, saying, "I have no way of knowing if they could be potential rapists. It scares the living hell out of me."

All charges against Daniluk were dropped when Knightley's representatives told the court she "would not be available on any of the dates offered" because of conflicts with her filming schedule.
