AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, May 21 (UPI) -- Prosecutors trying a war crimes case at the Special Court for Sierra Leone in the Netherlands are seeking permission to subpoena supermodel Naomi Campbell.
ABC News said the lawyers want Campbell to testify about whether she received so-called blood diamonds from former Liberian president Charles Taylor.
Carol White, Campbell's former modeling agent from 1992 to 2007, has told prosecutors she witnessed several men who worked for Taylor presenting Campbell with a "half dozen" uncut diamonds in 1997.
White said Campbell was not impressed by the uncut gems and listened to her when she suggested getting rid of them. White added that Campbell gave the stones to an unnamed third party.
The model has previously declined to testify at the trial, in which Taylor is accused of paying with uncut diamonds for weapons for a bloody rebellion in neighboring Sierra Leone.
ABC said Campbell's representatives did not immediately respond to its requests for comment on its story.
White and Campbell are suing each other over past business dealings, the report said.
Bench warrant for Lohan's arrest dropped
LOS ANGELES, May 21 (UPI) -- An arrest warrant issued after Lindsay Lohan missed a court date Thursday has been rescinded, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
Lohan's lawyer Wednesday confirmed the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star would be unable to make the court date because she had lost her U.S. passport while attending France's Cannes Film Festival.
The hearing was set up to see if the 23-year-old actress has been complying with the terms of her probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction.
Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told UsMagazine.com Lohan paid 10 percent of her $100,000 bail and the warrant was dropped.
The court hearing was rescheduled for Monday, Whitmore said.
Bret may still appear on 'Apprentice'
NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- Bret Michaels' publicist says the rocker intends to appear on Sunday's "The Celebrity Apprentice" finale in New York, despite his recent health scares.
The 47-year-old musician suffered a brain hemorrhage last month and returned to the hospital this week after experiencing numbness on the left side of his body. Tests revealed he had a warning stroke and has a hole in his heart.
However, Michaels still plans to face off with fellow finalist Holly Robinson Peete on the finale of the business-themed competition show "Celebrity Apprentice" this weekend.
"As far as I know, Bret will be there unless his doctors tell him otherwise," Michaels' representative told People.com.
"We're cautiously optimistic that he will attend the finale," the publicist said. "But ultimately, it's up to his doctors."
