Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was among Time magazine's list of 100 influential leaders, it was announced Thursday.
Also on the list is J.T. Wang, chief executive officer of Taiwan's Acer Group and chairman of Acer Inc.; Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff; U.S. President Barack Obama; and Ron Bloom, senior counselor to the U.S. president for manufacturing policy.
Among the others on the list are Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama; French economist Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the International Monetary Fund; U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi; U.S. author and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin; and Salam Fayyad, prime minister of the Palestinian National Authority.
A Time spokesman said the magazine doesn't actually rank those it considers most influential.
"There are many factors that go into the layout of a magazine, including graphics, photos, art, design and more," the spokesman said.
