Beresford-Redman, who has worked on the reality shows "Survivor" and "Pimp My Ride," reported his wife missing Tuesday after the mother of two did not return from shopping to the hotel where their family was staying.

The 42-year-old woman's body was discovered in a Cancun sewer Thursday and Beresford-Redman was detained for questioning, officials said.

The Los Angeles Times said the 38-year-old producer was released from police custody and has not been charged with a crime, although he remains under investigation.

Quintana Roo state investigator Veronica Acacio told the newspaper Beresford-Redman is required to stay in Mexico until the case is closed.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine the official cause of the woman's death. State prosecutors said her body showed signs of possible strangulation, the Times reported.

Report: James's kids living with Bullock

LOS ANGELES, April 9 (UPI) -- Jesse James's three children are staying with his estranged wife, Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock, while he is in rehab, a source told TMZ.

Sunny, Chandler and Jesse Jr. -- James's children from previous relationships -- are living with Bullock at an undisclosed location, an insider close to the couple told the entertainment news Web site.

"It's a positive sign about Sandra's relationship with Jesse," the source said without offering any details.

The news comes weeks after a tattoo model and stripper announced she had a long-term affair with James while he was married. Several other women have since come forward to claim they, too, had sex with James during his five-year marriage to the best-actress Oscar winner.

Bullock reportedly has moved out of the home she shared with James, who has been undergoing treatment for unspecified personal issues.

The actress has not personally made any statements regarding the many salacious stories surrounding her marriage, other than to contradict an online report this week that said she made a sex tape with James.

Moore and Kutcher, 32, married in 2005.
