LONG BRANCH, N.J., April 4 (UPI) -- A settlement may be imminent in the divorce of a New Jersey housewife who allegedly had an affair with rocker Bruce Springsteen, the New York Post reports.
Arthur Kelly filed for divorce from his wife of 17 years, Anne, last year and charged she carried on a years-long relationship with the married Springsteen after meeting him at a Red Bank, N.J., gym in 2005, the Post said.
In an exclusive report that none of the principals commented on, the Post Sunday reported a settlement in the divorce is expected this week.
As part of the settlement, Kelly agreed to take the adultery claim out of the suit and both he and his wife agreed not to discuss the alleged affair, the Post said.
Court papers revealed Ann Kelly refused to answer questions about her alleged relationship with Springsteen during a deposition last summer, the Post said, and she had previously denied being intimate with the rock superstar.
Although neither Springsteen nor his wife of 18-years, Patti Scialfa, released statements to the Post, an unnamed family friend was quoted saying: "Bruce and Patti continue to have a terrific marriage and are very devoted to each other and their children."
