LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson won't be charged for his part in a Los Angeles International Airport altercation, prosecutors said Thursday.
Tyson was arrested after the Nov. 11 incident and charged with suspicion of battery after he got into a scuffle with paparazzo Tony Echeverria.
Tyson said the photographer tried to get a rise out of him by hitting him, while Echeverria claimed Tyson punched him in the face and tried to take the film from his camera.
Although both were arrested after the fracas, the Los Angeles Times said Thursday the Los Angeles city prosecutor's office declined to charge either of the men in connection with the incident because there was "insufficient evidence that either party was at fault beyond a reasonable doubt."
