LONDON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- The Rembrandt painting sold last week for $33.2 million was bought by a representative for Las Vegas casino owner Stephen A. Wynn, sources say.

The identity of the winning telephone bidder for the 1658 work titled "Portrait of a Man, Half-Length, with His Arms Akimbo" at Christie's in London has not been publicly disclosed.

But sources familiar with the purchase told The New York Times it was conducted by someone acting on Wynn's behalf.

"I'm not discussing it, I'm not acknowledging my paintings anymore," Wynn, an avid art collector, told the Times when asked to confirm the transaction.
