O'Neal says he's happy with Fawcett's will
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Ryan O'Neal says he doesn't mind that his late longtime girlfriend Farrah Fawcett didn't leave him anything in her will.
The legal document, dated August 2007, reportedly shows Fawcett wanted to bequeath $4.5 million to her and O'Neal's son Redmond, $500,000 to her nephew Greg Walls, $500,000 to her father James and $100,000 to her ex-boyfriend Greg Lott. Nothing was apparently allotted for Ryan O'Neal, her companion of more than 30 years. Fawcett died of cancer June 25 at the age of 62.
"Farrah's and my relationship was based on a deep love and respect for one another and for our son Redmond," O'Neal said in a statement to Usmagazine.com.
"After discussing how her financial affairs would be handled in the event of her passing, we agreed that our son Redmond would be the primary beneficiary of her estate," he added. "These were Farrah's wishes and I am perfectly happy with them."
