TORONTO, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- British Prince Charles and his wife Camilla's Canadian tour reached Toronto Wednesday afternoon.

The royal couple were greeted at the airport about 2:30 p.m. local time by Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and his wife Terri, provincial Lt. Gov. David Onley and other dignitaries, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

The prince and duchess, who had arrived from Newfoundland where their Canadian trip started Monday, then traveled by motorcade to downtown Toronto, the CBC said.

Charles, on his 16th visit to Canada, met with members of the group Canadian Business for Social Responsibility and Camilla, on her first trip to the North American country, toured the Royal Conservatory of Music.
