'Brother' winner arrested on drug charge
BOSTON, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- "Big Brother'' winner Adam Jasinski has been arrested on an oxycodone distribution charge, investigators in Massachusetts said.
The Boston Globe reported the Florida resident was arrested at a North Reading strip mall last Saturday.
Jasinski, 31, allegedly made a deal to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills to a cooperating government witness.
An affidavit filed Monday in federal court by a Drug Enforcement Administration agent said Jasinski and the person he believed to be a buyer were approached by agents as they pulled into the strip mall.
"Jasinski stated that for the past several months he had been obtaining thousands of pills of oxycodone and reselling them to customers all along the East Coast," the Globe quoted the affidavit as saying. "Jasinski was able to purchase large quantities of pills because he had received $500,000 as the grand prize winner of the CBS reality television show 'Big Brother Season 9.'"
