LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Turner Classic Movies says it plans to pay tribute to the Hollywood screen icon Grace Kelly in honor of what would have been her 80th birthday.

"Model, stage actress, film star and princess: Grace Kelly is fondly remembered as one of the most beautiful and dignified performers ever to grace the silver screen," the television network said in a release. "This November, in honor of what would have been the actress' 80th birthday, Turner Classic Movies will celebrate her life and work by presenting all of her feature films, as well as a television special. TCM host and film historian Robert Osborne will guide viewers through her fascinating career and outstanding performances each Thursday night in November."

Among the films set to screen are "The Country Girl," "Dial M for Murder," "High Noon," "Rear Window," "To Catch a Thief," "High Society" and "The Swan."

Born Nov. 12, 1929, Kelly retired from filmmaking in 1956 to take on her new role as Princess Grace of Monaco, although she did serve on the board of directors for 20th Century Fox from 1976 to 1981. Kelly died after suffering a stroke and driving her car off the road in 1982.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the son of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, has voiced an on-air tribute piece dedicated to Grace Kelly's film career. It is to run throughout the month, TCM said.
