Madonna announces 2012 concert tour

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The producers of "Arrested Development" are penning a big-screen adaptation of their award-winning but short-lived U.S. television comedy series.
The show, which ran from 2003 to 2006, starred Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi and Jeffrey Tambor.
The Hollywood Reporter said the series' creator, Mitchell Hurwitz, and his co-executive producer, James Vallely, are working on a screenplay for a Fox Searchlight-produced film about the adventures of the eccentric, wealthy Bluth family.
Hurwitz is set to direct the movie, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
There has been speculation for years about plans for a feature film version of "Arrested Development."
