VERSAILLES, France, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Officials at France's Palace of Versailles say they will pay homage to its famous builder, Louis XIV, with the exhibition "Louis XIV, the Man and the King."

The show is intended to go "beyond Louis XIV's public image to explore his personal tastes, and for the first time at the Palace of Versailles puts this famous monarch center stage, with over 300 pieces from all around the world, never previously brought together, some of which are being shown in France for the first time since before the Revolution," organizers said in a release.
