Alexander, Feore land 'Thor' roles

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore have signed up for roles in Kenneth Branagh's big-screen Hollywood adaptation of the Marvel comic book, "Thor."

Alexander is to play Sif, a skilled Asgardian warrior and one of Thor's love interests, while Feore is to portray a villain whose identity is being kept tightly under wraps, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Chris Hemsworth is to play the titular Norse god and Natalie Portman his human love, Jane Foster.

The movie is slated for U.S. theatrical release May 20, 2011.
