Lambert insists 'Idol' did not create him

ROME, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- George Clooney, Colin Farrell, Richard Gere, Anthony Hopkins and Meryl Streep are to attend October's Rome International Film Festival, organizers said.
Also expected to attend the festivities Oct. 15-23 are Monica Bellucci, Andrea Bocelli, Valeria Solarino, Sergio Castellitto and Michele Placido, the Italian news agency ANSA said.
''We're delighted to have such an array of Hollywood royalty returning to the Tiber," Festival Artistic Director Gian Luigi Rondi said Friday. "But Italy's finest will also be in full view."
Streep, who will be on hand for a screening of her film "Julia & Julia," is to be presented with the Marc'Aurelio d'Oro award for career achievement.
