LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Actor Jesse Metcalfe has signed up to reprise his role of John Rowland on the U.S. television series "Desperate Housewives," ABC said Monday.

The show is to begin its sixth season Sunday. Former co-star Metcalfe rejoins the cast in the episode airing Oct. 11.
