Bolivian president to attend NY film debut

NEW YORK, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- President of Bolivia Evo Morales has agreed to attend the U.S. premiere of Oliver Stone's Hugo Chavez documentary, "South of the Border," organizers said.

Morales is interviewed in the film, which is to have its U.S. debut Wednesday at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater in New York.

The screening is to be followed by a question and answer session with Stone and guests, whose names have not yet been announced.

Richard Pena, program director of the New York Film Festival and Film Society of Lincoln Center, is to preside over the discussion.

Stone's previous films include "W.," "Alexander," "JFK" and "Platoon."
