DALLAS, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- A commercial flight made an emergency landing in Texas after rock ringer Scott Weiland suffered a seizure mid-flight, a representative says.
The unidentified representative told Rolling Stone exclusively the Stone Temple Pilots singer had the seizure while flying from Los Angeles to Miami Friday, forcing the airplane to make an emergency landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
The representative said after being administered oxygen, the 41-year-old rocker recovered well enough to be transported to a local hospital.
Weiland, who has a history of seizures, was to perform at a Miami club as scheduled Saturday, the representative added.
Rolling Stone said the weekend performance at the Miami club Mansion is part of the official launch of the Weiland for English Laundry clothing line.
