MIAMI GARDENS, Fla., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Singer Jimmy Buffett is the surprise performer scheduled to take the stage at Land Shark Stadium before the Miami Dolphins' prime time game, sources say.

The Palm Beach Post reported Saturday that unidentified sources have identified the mysterious Monday Night Football entertainment at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage as the "Magaritaville" singer.

The performance nearly an hour before kick-off at the Dolphins' home stadium is part of festivities planned by the NFL team for its season home-opener on prime time television.

Other festivities will include a performance by Jimmy Stowe, a video presentation featuring Buffett's "Here We Are" and a fly-over by the Thunderbolts aviation group.

The Post said Dolphins Chief Operating Officer Mike Dee allayed Dolphins fans' concerns of a possible blackout of Monday's game by saying Friday all game tickets would be sold by the NFL's deadline.
