Report: Lavigne and Whibley split up

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Canadian-born pop star Avril Lavigne and Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley have broken up after three years of marriage, a source told Usmagazine.com.

"She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on," the insider said. "Divorce papers will be filed any day now."

The magazine said it couldn't reach Lavigne's representative for a comment and Whibley's publicist declined to speak about the matter.
