LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Katherine Heigl says she and her singer-songwriter husband Josh Kelley are adopting a baby girl from South Korea.

E! Online said Heigl broke the news during the taping of Thursday's edition of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Heigl reportedly told DeGeneres the child, whom she has not yet met, will be 10 months old at the end of the month. She also revealed she and Kelley plan to call their new daughter Naleigh.

"I just dropped that one," Heigl said, explaining it is a combination of her mother and sister's names -- Nancy and Leigh. "Anyway, I'm sure that's fine. We have to meet her first."

E! Online did not say when the child would be coming to the United States or when the adoption is expected to be finalized.
