LONDON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- British actors Richard Armitage and Andrew Lincoln have been cast in a six-part drama series based on Chris Ryan's novel "Strike Back," The Guardian said.
Armitage is best known for his roles in TV's "The Vicar of Dibley," "Robin Hood" and "Spooks."
Lincoln stars in the series "This Life." He also had a supporting role in the movie "Love Actually."
The Guardian said "Strike Back" has begun shooting on location in South Africa and is expected to air on Sky1 and Sky1 HD next spring.
It is about two former soldiers who are reacquainted during a hostage crisis in the Middle East just before the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
