BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Former "Mod Squad" actress Peggy Lipton is to play a recurring role in the second season of the U.S. television series "Crash," Starz announced.
Season 2 of the original drama is to premiere Sept. 18.
Lipton, whose other TV credits include "Twin Peaks" and "Wings," will play "former hippie flower child knockout Suzy Fields," the estranged ex-wife of former record producer Ben Cendars, played by Dennis Hopper, the network said in a news release.
Suzy is now married to Ben's close friend from years ago, Owen Fields, played by Keith Carradine, an iconic 1960s author. Ben tracks down Suzy and Owen at their country home where they still maintain their 1960s lifestyle.
Lipton and Carradine are expected to appear beginning in Episode 6.
