LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has announced plans for a North American concert tour this fall.
The multiple Grammy Award winner is to perform 21 dates at a mix of college campus arenas and traditional venues, starting at Penn State University Oct. 9.
Tickets go on sale in select markets beginning Friday at LiveNation.com.
The fall tour is the follow-up to the "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City" tour, which was seen by more than 600,000 fans. The 28-date trek grossed more than $35 million.
Prior to the upcoming tour kickoff, Jay-Z will headline a charity concert at New York's Madison Square Garden Friday in support of the New York Police & Fire Widows and Children's Benefit Fund. All proceeds from tickets sales and concert merchandise are to go directly to the charity, Live Nation said.
