LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Singer Janet Jackson is working on a tribute to her late brother Michael to be performed at the MTV Video Awards show in New York this weekend, TMZ said.

Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest following propofol intoxication June 25 at the age of 50. His death has been ruled a homicide.

His sister reportedly has been rehearsing a moving tribute to him, which will feature 20 backup dancers.

Kryiss Grant, one of the dancers involved in the production and an usher at Jackson's entombment last week, told TMZ some VMA practice sessions have lasted 15 hours.

"There won't be a dry eye in the house," Grant said.
