Hauserman wants to move past tragedy

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- U.S. reality TV show star Megan Hauserman says she wants to move beyond the tragedy surrounding one of her "Megan Wants a Millionaire" co-stars.

During a recent Las Vegas appearance, Hauserman told People magazine she was upset to learn "Megan" contestant Ryan Jenkins apparently committed suicide following the brutal killing of his wife, bikini model Jasmine Fiore, People.com reported Saturday.

"It's been a very challenging time," Hauserman said Friday. "I'm happy to move forward at this point. It's been a very upsetting, sad, tragic situation that nobody could have expected."

Jenkins was found dead on Aug. 23 in a Canadian hotel room as authorities attempted to locate the reality show suspect in connection with his wife's death.

While "Megan" was canceled amid the murder investigation into Fiore's death, Hauserman told People magazine she is open to future TV endeavors.

"I really enjoy being on TV and I love my fans," said Hauserman, who also counts "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" and "I Love Money" among her reality TV appearances. "I want to continue doing TV work."
