LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Adam Goldstein, the late celebrity disc jockey known as DJ AM, has been buried at a Los Angeles cemetery following a private funeral service.
Goldstein died of a suspected drug overdose in New York last week at the age of 36. Officials are waiting for the results of toxicology and other tests before determining and announcing the cause of his death.
Usmagazine.com said Goldstein was interred Wednesday afternoon at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary after a private funeral at the Jewish cemetery where Jack Benny, Milton Berle and Michael Landon are also buried.
Goldstein's close friends, musician Travis Barker, actor Scott Caan and performer DJ Jazzy Jeff, were among the mourners who attended Wednesday's rites, Usmagazine.com said.
A public memorial service is scheduled for him at the Hollywood Palladium Thursday.
