NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- British singer Paul McCartney says the upcoming remastered versions of Beatles songs offer the most true versions of his former band's works.
McCartney said the remastered Beatles albums due for release in the United States on Sept. 9 offer very clear recordings of the band's songs thanks to the removal of excess noise, the New York Post reported Sunday.
"It sounds like it did in the room when (we) recorded it," McCartney said of the remastered recordings.
The remastered Beatles albums will be available for purchase separately and in pairs, while a 16-disc set will also be offered for $259.98.
Bruce Spizer, who wrote about the British rock band in his book "The Beatles in America," told the Post the albums offer unique versions of the songs made famous by the Beatles.
"From a sound standpoint, you definitely can hear the difference between this and what was done 22 years ago," Spizer said. "It is really stunning in clarity. I heard little nuances I'd never heard before."
