LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis says he did not attack U.S. reality TV personality Brody Jenner's girlfriend at a Los Angeles nightclub.

Francis said in a "Wild" release Friday that Jenner's allegation that he attacked Jenner's girlfriend Thursday at the nightclub Guys and Dolls were false, instead suggesting he was the victim of an unprovoked attack by Jenner.

"Jenner's public accusations that I punched and kicked his girlfriend are false, outrageous, and slanderous," Francis said.

"Someone shoved me from behind, then hurled a drink at me, glass and all," the founder of the "Wild" video series added. "I turned to see who it was, and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground, with Brody Jenner ripping at my shirt."

The "Wild" release said multiple witnesses have supported Francis' take on the incident, insisting Francis never threw a punch during the altercation.

Jenner told TMZ.com his companion, Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole, was attacked by Francis after she doused Francis with a drink for harassing one of her acquaintances.
