Cause of death undetermined in DJ AM case

NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- A New York City medical examiner's representative says additional testing is needed to determine how disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein died.

Medical examiner representative Ellen Borakove told People magazine an autopsy has already been conducted on Goldstein's body, which was found in his New York apartment on Friday.

"The cause of death was inconclusive because we need to do additional testing," Borakove said. "The testing would include toxicology and tissue testing. We don't expect any results for several weeks."

An unidentified police source said a cocaine crack pipe and unspecified prescription drugs were found by Goldstein, 36, during the discovery of his body.

Meanwhile, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker expressed grief over the death of Goldstein, who survived a deadly airplane crash with Barker in September 2008.

"I'll never forget everything we've been through and every time I play the drums I'll think of you," Barker said through the social networking service Twitter.
