LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- U.S. cable channel TNT says it has ordered 15 episodes for a third season of its drama series "Leverage," starring Timothy Hutton.

The show's Season 2 summer finale is to air Sept. 9. It will return during winter to complete its second season and the third season is slated to air next summer, TNT said.

"Thanks in large part to its engaging cast and clever storytelling, 'Leverage' has proven itself to be one of the most exciting and fun hours on television," Michael Wright -- executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies -- said in a statement. "The producers, cast and crew have been incredible to work with, and we anticipate another wonderful season."

The show features a tech-savvy team devoted to stealing from rich criminals and corrupt businessmen.
