BOB DYLAN WINS THE 2001 OSCAR AWARD FOR BEST SONG

NEW YORK, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. music icon Bob Dylan is planning to release a new album of holiday songs, "Christmas in the Heart," this fall, Columbia Records announced.

The CD is to become available Oct. 13.

All of the artist's U.S. royalties from the sale of the album are intended to be donated to Feeding America.

The money is expected to pay for meals for more than 1.4 million people in need during this year's holiday season.

Dylan is also donating all of his future U.S. royalties from this album to Feeding America in perpetuity, his record label said.

In addition, the artist is partnering with two international charities to provide meals during the holidays for millions in need in the United Kingdom and the developing world.
