Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
NEW YORK, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of the rock band Weezer, says his U.S. group will release its seventh studio album, "Raditude," this fall.
Cuomo said "Raditude," which is to be released Oct. 27 by DGC Records, is full of "high energy pop rock," including the recently debuted songs "The Girl Got Hot" and "I'm Your Daddy," Billboard.com reported Friday.
"The sound of 'Raditude' is fun, high-energy, pop rock," Cuomo said.
Weezer members are choosing which 15 songs will make the album's final cut, but "Hot" and "Daddy" are confirmed along with tracks such as "Can't Stop Partying."
Cuomo told Billboard.com it is common to have to create more songs than needed for a new album and then make necessary changes for a strong release.
"I think making a rock record is rarely easy or smooth," he said. "It requires a lot of work and sometimes you have to write more songs that end up on the record; sometimes you have to go back and re-record a song more than once."
