NASHVILLE, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Actor Alex Emanuel says he saw U.S. pop star Miley Cyrus and Australian actor Liam Hemsworth share a passionate goodbye at a Nashville airport.

Emanuel said Cyrus, 16, and Hemsworth, 18, locked lips before Hemsworth departed Nashville following the pair's work on the movie "The Last Song," People.com reported Friday.

"It was like a scene out of an old movie where the guy's getting on a train and they're saying their goodbyes," Emanuel said of last Wednesday's event.

Despite the romantic goodbye witnessed by Emanuel, Cyrus remains adamant she's not tied to one guy.

"I do not have a boyfriend," the "Hannah Montana" star said in a recent Twitter post.

People.com said an Aug. 14 Twitter message from the teenage pop star did hint she was spending time with Hemsworth prior to the wrap party for "Song."

"I kinda want to go see 'The Time Traveler's Wife' but I think I'll just sit around and eat sushi and watch "Liar Liar" with Liam," Cyrus tweeted.
