LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Michael Jackson's family says the late U.S. pop star's burial has been rescheduled again and will now take place Sept. 3. Jackson died June 25 at the age of 50. The cause of his death is still under investigation.

A public memorial was held for the singer July 7, but his body has not been interred yet.
His family announced recently that he would be interred in the Great Mausoleum in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif.
TMZ said the family released a statement Friday explaining the date had been postponed from Aug. 31 because area schools are to reopen that day.
The burial was initially set for Aug. 29, which would have been the recording artist's 51st birthday, but Jackson patriarch Joe Jackson said the date was changed because the family still had matters to get in order before the entertainer is interred.
