CHICAGO, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- TV titan Oprah Winfrey will interview Whitney Houston, the U.S. singer whose bright career has been eclipsed in recent years by marital woes and drug abuse.
Houston, who has divorced her troubled husband Bobby Brown and reportedly kicked her drug habit, is staging a comeback. She is to release her seventh studio album, "I Look to You," Aug. 31.
People.com reported the chat with Winfrey will be Houston's first interview in nearly seven years.
The interview will be featured on the 24th season premiere of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Sept. 14.
Winfrey has described it as "the most anticipated music interview of the decade," People.com said.
