LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- CBS says the winner of its "Best Seat in the House" online contest will be sent to the Emmy Awards show in Los Angeles next month.
The network is inviting people to submit videos through Sept. 7, explaining why they are "TV's No. 1 Fan," for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to attend the award presentation and be seated next to some of TV's biggest stars.
Neil Patrick Harris is serving as host of the event, which is slated to be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles Sept. 20.
The Top 15 videos will be announced Sept. 15 and posted on TV.com and CBS.com, with the ultimate winner unveiled online Sept. 18.
"Every year, the Primetime Emmy Awards represent the biggest night in television. This contest is a great way to get fans involved and gives them an opportunity to show support for their favorite shows and actors," Bill Binenstock, vice president/general manager of CBS.com, said in a statement. "We're thrilled to be able to give one devoted television watcher the chance to enjoy the ultimate Emmy-viewing experience on the industry's most star-studded night."
